Essential Oil Holiday Blends for Winter

Relaxing Holiday Room Spray
Sometimes holidays are stressful. Here's a relaxing room spray.
- 15 drops eucalyptus essential oil
- 10 drops cypress essential oil
- 10 drops sandalwood essential oil
- 5 drops pine essential oil
- 8 ounces distilled water
Drop essential oils into an 8-ounce glass spray bottle. Add enough distilled water to fill the bottle. Cap and shake. Shake well before each use.

Winter Multipurpose Blend
This holiday-scented essential oils blend may help prevent or relieve symptoms of cold or flu.
- 50 drops fir (Abies sibirica)essential oil
- 10 drops cypress (Cupressus sempervirens)essential oil
- 10 drops atlas cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica)essential oil
- 10 drops ravintsara (Cinnamomum camphora)essential oil
- 6 drops frankincense (Boswellia carteri)essential oil
Blend the essential oils in a 5-ml dropper bottle. Cap and gently shake. Ways to use this blend:
- Diffuse a few drops according to your aromatherapy diffuser's instructions.
- Place 2 to 3 drops onto a tissue and inhale.
- Put 2 to 3 drops into a bowl of steaming water, cover head with a towel, close eyes, and inhale, being careful not to get too close to the heat.
- Mix 2 to 3 drops into a teaspoon of natural bath gel or emulsifier and add to a bath. Optionally, also add Epsom salts to the bath.
- Dilute 10 drops in 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) carrier oil or lotion. Rub onto chest and back.
Cautions: Avoid eye area and mucous membranes. Do not use on children under 3 years of age or apply to or near the faces of young children. May irritate sensitive skin. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid use during pregnancy.

Valentine's Holiday Essential Oil Blends
Suggested sensual oils for Valentine's Day:
- Cedarwood atlas
- Cistus
- Clary sage
- Jasmine
- Rose
- Sandalwood
- Vanilla
- Ylang ylang
Romantic Baths
Romantic baths are highly personal, and you are encouraged make your own unique blend. Two suggestions to get started:
- 2 drops rose + 3 drops palmrosa
- 3 drops ylang ylang + 4 drops grapefruit
Add the essential oils to 1 teaspoon carrier oil, bath gel, or emulsifier. Stir into a bath.
Romantic Body Oils
- 10 drops rose essential oil
- 8 drops lemon essential oil
- 2 drops ylang ylang essential oil
- 2 drops palmarosa essential oil
OR
- 5 drops jasmine absolute
- 5 drops mandarin essential oil
- 3 drops black pepper essential oil
- 1 drop nutmeg essential oil
Blend essential oils. Dilute 3 to 5 drops in 1 teaspoon carrier oil.

These Easter diffuser blends focus on offering fresh, uplifting, comforting scents.
Easter Spring Flowers
- 3 drops palmarosa essential oil
- 2 drops lemon essential oil
- 1 drop geranium essential oil
- 1 drop ho wood essential oil
Comforting Blend
- 4 drops ylang ylang essential oil
- 4 drops sweet orange essential oil
- 3 drops cedarwood essential oil
- 1 drop sandalwood essential oil

- 2 drops lemon essential oil

Other Holiday Blends
You can blend essential oils for any holiday, based on the tone you want to set and your personal preferences.
For example, you might want a floral blend for Mother's Day. Floral-scented essential oils are calming and supportive. A sample diffuser blend is 2 drops each of lavender, clary sage, and geranium.
Father's Day might warrant a woody, masculine blend using essential oils such as cedarwood, pine, peppermint, rosemary, thyme, and lemongrass to make essential oil blends for men.
For St. Patrick's Day, experiment with essential oils made from rich green plants and bright green fruits, such as sweet basil, bergamot, coriander, cypress, lime, spearmint, and tarragon. These refreshing and uplifting oils help promote a sense of spring renewal.
One possible diffuser blend:
- 3 drops lime essential oil
- 3 drops bergamot essential oil
- 2 drops basil essential oil
- 2 drops spearmint essential oil
